1968 Pontiac Firebird

This special customer is having us build a ’68 Pontiac Firebird A-Sedan vintage racecar. Former IMSA racer, and child actor, Cuffy Crabbe has commissioned us to add a new car to his stable. Mr. Crabbe had been campaigning his BMW 3.0CSL Batwing for the past several seasons, but after selling it to The Car Show’s Adam Carolla this season, he is now looking forward to racing some American Iron.  His new car will we be a tribute car to the Jerry Titus Trans-Am series car from the 1968 and 1969 seasons. That car used a loophole in the Trans-Am regulations of the era and ran a smallblock Chevy, as this car will. We’re starting off by stripping down the tub in preparation for rollcage and chassis work, and going through some components to be used in the build.

Construction continues – rollcage is coming along, pedalbox is in, and our customer has been fitted with a custom seat install.
